Listen to live Championship FM!
The Championships has its very own radio station on which you can listen to live commentary from experts for all of the dressage competition and some of the jumping competitions. You will also hear live interviews with riders, and expert’s views of the championships.
Championship Radio will ba avalilable here throughout the show, but if you are at the showground, all you need to do is purchase one of the special headsets from the radio sellers or the programme sellers in the showgrounds.

Your Commentary Teams
Dressage
Sandy Phillips
Sandy trained for many years in Germany with George Theodorescu and Hubertus Schmidt.She was a member of the US Olympic dressage team in the 1984 Olympics and the 1982 and 1986 World Championships. She was a member of the British Dressage team for Europeans and World Championships Rome 1998 and Aachen 2006 and she was the British National Dressage Champion in 2006 on Lara 106.
She is currently Dressage Trainer to both the USA and the Irish International 3 Day event teams and an FEI "I" Judge - eventing and dressage.
Sandy will be joined during the course of the event by Carl Hester, Ulla Salzgeber and Jane Bredin.
Carl Hester is one of Britain’s leading international dressage riders. He has represented Great Britain at two Olympic Games, the World Equestrian Games and European Championships. He has amassed 43 National Titles and has been National Grand Prix Champion five times. With his best horse, Escapado, Carl finished 6th at the European Championships in 2005. This year he rides on the British Team, Donald McTaggart’s Liebling II.
Ulla Salzgeber will join Sandy to commentate on the Grand Prix Special, She won a gold medal in team dressage at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney with the German team and again in Athens in 2004.
Jumping
The commentary team for the jumping classes will be led by Steven Wilde. Steven is a regular presenter for Sky Sport, Eurosport and Horse and Country TV and a familiar voice on many showgrounds around the country.
Radios can be purchased at all programme selling points and from individual radio sellers who will be walking around the showgrounds. You can identify them by their branded backpacks.
This easy to use radio will help you to stay in touch and hear commentary, information and rider interviews. Priced at £8 each they will last you the duration of the championships.
